Main Text: Daniel 10:12-13

“Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy Yahweh, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days…”

Introduction:

Delays are often more than mere timing issues; they can be spiritual. There is a spirit responsible for blocking, slowing, or diverting blessings meant for Yah’s people. It keeps people stagnant despite their efforts, prayers, and obedience. Today, we expose and confront that spirit in the name of Yahshua.

I. Understanding the Spirit of Delay

Delay Is Not Denial—But Can Become Destructive If Prolonged

Proverbs 13:12 — “Hope deferred makes the heart sick…”

Yahweh ’s promises are often delayed due to battles in the spirit realm.

Satan Uses Delay to Discourage and Weaken Faith

Daniel 10:12-13 — Daniel’s answer was delayed by demonic resistance.

Behind physical delays, there can be spiritual manipulation.

Types of Delay:

Personal delay: Marriage, childbearing, financial breakthrough.

Ministerial delay: Growth, impact, fulfillment of calling.

Prophetic delay: Promises spoken by God but not yet fulfilled.

II. Causes of Spiritual Delays

Demonic Hindrances

Principalities and powers like the Prince of Persia (Daniel 10).

1 Thessalonians 2:18 — Paul said, “Satan hindered us.”

Disobedience and Sin

Isaiah 59:1-2 — Sin creates a barrier between Yahweh and man.

Jonah delayed Nineveh’s salvation through disobedience.

Ignorance and Passive Christianity

Hosea 4:6 — “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”

If you don’t fight delay, you will live with it.

Wrong Associations

Jonah on the ship caused delay for everyone on board (Jonah 1:5-15).

III. Keys to Breaking the Spirit of Delay

Engage in Fasting and Prayer

Matthew 17:21 — “This kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.”

Daniel fasted 21 days and overcame the delay.

Issue Prophetic Decrees

Job 22:28 — “You shall decree a thing and it shall be established…”

Speak against delay in your life with authority.

Engage Angelic Help Through Warfare

Hebrews 1:14 — Angels are ministering spirits for believers.

Pray for angelic intervention to fight territorial spirits.

Live in Righteousness and Obedience

Psalm 84:11 — “No good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.”

Righteous living clears the way for answered prayers.

Persistence in Faith

Luke 18:1 — “Men ought always to pray, and not to faint.”

Keep praying until something happens (P.U.S.H).

Conclusion:

Delay is not Yahweh’s plan for your life. You must rise up in prayer and faith to confront every spirit assigned to hold back your promotion, marriage, breakthrough, or purpose. What Yahweh has declared over you must manifest, and today is your day of liberty.

Father, thank You because my appointed time has come in Yahshua ’ name.

Every spirit of delay assigned against my destiny, be destroyed by fire in Yashua s’ name.

I release my blessings from the grip of the enemy, in the name of Yahshua.

O Yahweh, send angelic help to break through every demonic resistance in my life.

By the blood of Yahshua, I cancel every evil covenant of delay working against me.

I command divine speed and acceleration over every area of my life in Yahshua ’ name.

I declare: No more delay! No more stagnation! My time has come!
